This resort is a great family one, if somewhat small. There are truly wonderful views of the Lake District of Hakuba and is a popular place with families with a small kids zone. Most of the runs are fairly short and suit intermediates. There is a great 4 way kicker at the base of the mogul run for some truly big air. In the past it was joined with the neighbouring Aokiko and Kashimayari resorts and do-able on the same ticket, but 2 years ago Aokiko closed down isolating both Sanosaka and Kashimayari. It is is hoped that Aokiko reopens to once again make this a larger, more attractive resort.
